TEMPOart partners with other non-profit educational and cultural institutions, using each project to inspire innovative learning opportunities for all ages.
Collaborations include, but are not limited to:
Greater Portland Landmarks has offered specialized lectures and walking tours. One tour aimed at youth culminated in art-making projects at Oak Street Studios.
The Telling Room first partnered with us in 2017, taking inspiration from Christian Prasch’s installation in Tommy’s Park.
Mayo Street Arts conducted a Sculpture Study Workshop at the Portland Public Library to connect East Bayside children with sculpture as part of its RAD (Reading, Art, Dance) program. We continue to partner with their team.
Oak Street Studios’ “Side X Side” program featured art educators leading third graders at East End and Reiche Elementary Schools who studied Portland history in the fall of 2016. Field trips to see the Hoffman sculpture acted as a jumping off point for reflections about home and map-making that is part of the curriculum. TEMPOart continues to partner with their team.
Other collaborators include Anna Ackerman & her World-to-Table project.
